Hello! My name is Emily, I am an illustrator of children's books based in London.
I like to create picture books inspired by my surroundings and I take pleasure in noticing the tiny details in daily life. I am interested in playing with the format of the book, creating unusual and experimental artists publications.
My first children's book A Dog Day was published by Tate in 2014 and my wordless picture books In the Garden and In the City published by Hato Press are held in collections at MoMA and the New York Public Library. My next children's book In the Darkness of the Night will be published by Tate in 2017.
I have a background working in arts education and have worked in schools and galleries leading art workshops with children and young people. I now mainly run workshops for children about book making or self publishing.
In the Darkness of The Night, 2017, Tate Publishing (coming soon)
If you would like to commission me, collaborate or are interested in getting me to run a workshop (or just say hello!) please do get in contact:
